FRISCO, TEXAS (Feb. 3, 2010) - United States Soccer Federation (USSF) arbitrator has rejected the primary claims of US Club Soccer (USCS) and American Youth Soccer (AYSO) in the grievance they filed against US Youth Soccer the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA), the North Dakota Youth Soccer Association (NDYSA), the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA), the Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA), and the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA). The arbitrator rejected the gri evance claims alleging that US Youth Soccer and the five US Youth Soccer State Associations had violated their duties as members of the Federation and were in violation of several Federation bylaws, rules and policies. The decision allows US Youth Soccer and its member State Associations to provide and retain benefits for only its members.

Alabama Youth Soccer proudly announces Gwynne Williams as the new Director of Coaching.After reviewing over 70 applications for Alabama Director of Coaching, the Executive Management Committee narrowed its’ choices down to 12 applicants.  Many of the applicants would have been a good choice, but the final choices were narrow down to three for in person interviews. The State Board of Directors interviewed all three choices and it was a unanimous decision of the Board to offer the position to Mr. Williams.

MICKEY HOLMES CUP  has been awarded to the city of Decatur for 2010, 2011 & 2012 and will be held at the Jack Allen Park.

This annual tournament decides which teams are Division III Spring state champions. The tournament supports the Micky Holmes Memorial Scholarship which is awarded on a yearly basis to one boy and one girl from AYSA. To be eligible for AYSA Micky Holmes Cup play, a team must be comprised of properly registered and rostered youth players and the team and its affiliated organization be good standing with AYSA. The team must be registered as a Division III (Recreation) team.
