Criteria for Certifying Referee, Grade 6

CRITERIA
PERFORMANCE
1. Minimum age 18
2. Experience (minimum cumulative career outdoor games at designated level
Referee: 100
Assistant Referee: 25
a. Game level to be counted for assessment
Under-19 Affiliated Competitive Leagues or higher.
b. Time in present grade
12 months as Referee, Grade 7 prior to application
3. Training course requirements
19 hours of USSF State Referee Training
4. Written Examination 75% minimum score on USSF State Referee Exam
5. Field Evaluation by currently registered USSF Assessor Pass two field assessments as referee (one must be on Div. 2 adult or higher) and one as assistant referee in U-19 competitive affiliated league or higher.
6. Physical Fitness Test Required with passing score. See Physical Fitness Test criteria.
 
ANNUAL RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS
State Referee, Grade 6 must attend the mandatory State Referee Clinic for recertification.
In-service training
Five hours during the preceding 12 months
Refresher Exam Passing Score of 75% Required
Field Evaluation One assessment as a refeee at Div. 2 adult match or higher.
Physical Fitness Test
Required with passing score.
 
The written examination, if failed, must be retaken after a minimum waiting period of one month.
Upgrade assessments must be completed within a twelve-month time period.
